Product Queries

How long do the products last?

All the products in the range are oil-based and have a PAO (period after opening) of 6 months.

This means once opened they can last up to 6 months.

To ensure they last as long as possible, please keep them at a steady room temperature and avoid extreme heat or cold.

Are the products suitable during pregnancy?

All the products in the range do use essential oils and there are various schools of thoughts on what essential oils an be used and that which cannot.

There is a general consensus that all essential oils should be avoided in the first trimester but some go as far as to say to avoid them altogether.

Although the essential oils are limited to 1% or less than the overall product, in the early stages of pregnancy your skin may be more sensitive than usual.

The ingredients used in the range are used because they are generally mild and safe
for use for most people but there is a long and exhaustive list of things to avoid during pregnancy and it is recommend researching and checking with your GP on
what they recommend.

The full ingredients lists are available on the website on each products page.

Are the products suitable for infants?

All the products in the range are formulated for adult use.

The products contain essential oils and these are not recommended to be used on the under-3s.

Do you run a returns scheme for empty tins/jars?

Although it would be a lovely idea to reuse them; they would
need sterilising and then when we have considered the carbon footprint used to return by post it isn't as green and effective as you'd think.

As they are aluminium or glass, they recycle with any local council collection and will have another life as another form of container.

This is a much lower carbon footprint and simpler option.

I have an ailment - what can you recommend?

Please be aware that we cannot advise on treatment for medical issues but always recommend you speak with your GP first.

Many of our products can be used to assist with minor issues and in conjuntion with medical advise but not in place of prescribed medicines.

General Advice

How do I use the face cream and serum?

Most of our customers prefer to use the cream and the serum separately. I personally prefer to use the cream in the morning and then the serum at night time.

Others prefer to use the cream as a night cream and the serum when their skin needs and extra boost of moisture.

The trick with both products is to use sparingly. A little
does go a long way with each product. A pea size amount of cream is usually plenty enough and just 2-3 drops of the serum.

Can the Lemon Balm and Peppermint lip balm be used for genital herpes?

Unfortunately not - all the products in the range are formulated for external use only.

Can the cleansing balm be used to remove make-up?

Yes - the cleansing balm is a very helpful make-up remover. Be sure to avoid contact with eyes.

What can you recommend for eczema?

The Calendula salve is great for eczema. Please see here to read more about the product.

What can you recommend for rosacea?

The Calendula salve is great for rosacea. Please see here to read more about the product.

The Rose and Frankincense face cream and serum can both be helpful too.

My face serum is looking a little cloudy. Is it ok?

Being a natural product formulated with coconut and jojoba, the facial serum is sensitive to cold temperatures.

Both jojoba and coconut and start to solidify if they get too cold. But don't worry - if the serum is kept somewhere warm and given a good shake it will go clear again. It won't affect the efficacy of the product.
